With a choice of indigo or violet as the basis of my last ROYGBIV submission, this hot little number was the final dress to mog in my own personal challenge. At first I was going to try something different using my mage for a change but when I saw this mace, it was no longer an option. It turned out to be a lot more purple than I anticipated but as a whole, I think it worked out quite well.
Hallowed Crown, Hallowed Pauldrons, Vestments of the Shifting Sands, Handguards of Defiled Worlds, Cord of the Slain Champion, Darkweave Breeches, Sandals of Arcane Fury, Stinger of Ayamiss, Malevolent Gladiator’s Reprieve
Indigo – Iah (god of the moon, Egypt’s first moon god)
Violet – Isis (goddess of magic and life)
This challenge turned out to be a lot of fun so thanks to Jstmel for such a unique idea.
Following my personal challenge of only using the armed and dangerous series for Jstmel’s ROYGBIV challenge, here’s my submission for June. The Robes of the Guardian Saint would ordinarily be my first choice for blue but since I’ve created a kit for that and the Mooncloth Robe already, I’m left with the last blue option being the Robes of the Exalted.
Hapi was the ancient god responsible for the the annual flooding of the Nile which in turn provided the Egyptians with fertile soil for their crops.
Jewel of the Nile
Hood of Ternion Glory, Robes of the Exalted, Shoulderpads of Faith, Used Bar Rag, Arachnidian Gloves, Belt of Faith, Arachnidian Footpads, Soulscribe, Cosmos
Following my personal challenge of only using the armed and dangerous series for Jstmel’s ROYGBIV challenge, here’s my submission for May. To be honest, I wasn’t really looking forward to this month since it’s the one I like the least but it happens to be the only green option so I didn’t have much choice. At the same time, it’s probably the only attempt I’ll make so for that reason, I’m glad it’s done.
Sylvan Crown, Gladiator’s Satin Mantle, Robes of Insight, Gladiator’s Satin Gloves, Native Pants, Silksand Girdle, Faux Warlock Slippers, Serpentcrest Life-Staff
At first I found it quite difficult finding the same shade of avocado but I think the pieces here are quite complimentary.
Geb was the Egypian god of the earth, often depicted with plants springing from his body so the staff turned out to be a nice addition.
After an epic 12 week journey, I have to say it was a pleasure judging Dragonray’s worldly transmog contest. Kamalia, Navimie and I had a lot of fun seeing all the creative outfits our contestants produced. Kudos to those who stuck it out for all 12 weeks as you consistently impressed all four of us. One contestant even submitted all twelve outfits ahead of time.
It was always exciting to see who won each week as our tastes (and scores) seemed to vary quite widely. I noticed one judge seemed tougher in comparison so I started to wonder if I was too lenient. The night we decided on a final winner, it was interesting to see which outfits stood out and the criteria used to score each time. At the end there was a clear winner, any way we looked at it – you can check the winning banner below.
You can read about the list of winners from Navi’s blog and Kamalia’s favourites by heading to their respective sites.
It turns out I didn’t have a clear winner in weeks one, two or three (in fact, I had a three-way tie) so I won’t be including those but here are my favourites from the remaining rounds including the winning outfit from week six above.
Well done to all the participants, especially those who found themselves in my list of favourites whether you won the round or not.
Thanks again to Dragonray for organising the whole competition. I hope you all had fun along the way.
When I first read about Jstmel’s ROYGBIV challenge back in February, I saw it as the perfect opportunity to reinvent my Elegant Robes Mix since it always felt like a work in progress. Now with April celebrating the colour yellow, here’s my latest submission.
Hood of Ternion Glory, Silksand Shoulder Pads, Elegant Robes, Ruthless Gladiator’s Cord of Accuracy, Bright Gloves, Golden Staff of the Sin’dorei, Outlander’s Boots
This one has slightly more of a blood elf feel and less highlights compared to my previous version.
