Today we headed back into ICC25 to kill the LK after the troubles we had last week. With almost a full raid, he died with minimal effort getting lots of achievements for people, including the first kill for some. Cool and I even managed to get Neck-Deep in Vile :)
Here are some of the highlights from our short raid.
Another surprising achievement
I’ve never taken any shots on this fight before but with such a laid back raid, it was a great opportunity. I mean who knows when I’ll be back again? I also managed to catch up with a few other new bloggers, including Cuppy and Shoryl.
Last weekend I headed back into ICC25 for the latest LBR. It started off shakily as Coolidge had issues with his connection but there were quite a few who had technical issues by the end of it. I didn’t expect so many new faces but I was excited to see the ones I’ve known for almost a year now.
Wait, what’s a gnome doing here?
At least I managed to get a shot of Coolidge before we lost him for the rest of the raid.
No shortage of CC’s, that’s for sure
Draynee commented on how much she liked my hairstyle
Before entering the Blood Queens room, it was hard to miss this bug. The hatch was missing (at least visually) as no one fell through but it sure looked odd.
I didn’t expect to get this one as there were quite a few I was missing but it was a surprise none-the-less, esp. since I was iced at the time. Bittersweet though as Coolidge wasn’t there to share it with me.
The wait… including Arv
Here we were waiting on the LK platform before we called it since we lost about half the members due to sleep or server issues.
Today was my second Laid Back Raid with the blogger crew on Horde side and I was pleased to see a larger showing compared to the one I did last month. I was excited to finally meet Tome in pixel form and even Repgrind was there :) First on the Agenda was Kara followed by Gruul’s Lair.
Navimie, Me, Coolidge, Repgrind, Mizorie, Kamalia, JD, Tome
Here’s a shot of the group just before our first pull. With this many people, it’s no surprise that we cleared the way to Prince very quickly.
With a quick portal to Shatt, we headed over to Gruul’s Lair adding two more to the group.
By the time Gruul carked it, we lost a few to sleep but the ones who remained decided to go to Mag and then TK.
Even before the fight had ended, Arv dropped his disco ball and started dancing. Unfortunately, one hearthed prematurely but he was there in spirit.
I was excited to pick up a few great transmog items. First of all, my Malefic Girdle dropped which was a great start. I also managed to get the T5 recoloured helm – Crown of the Sun, as well as the Talisman of the Sun King. You can be sure, I’ll be using that sometime soon :)
Was it something I said?
Thx everyone, it was fun :)
I finally made it to one of JD’s raids this morning, although it wasn’t exactly what I expected :P I managed to get together with Coolidge and met in pixel form, JD and the Mrs, plus Kam as well. On the agenda was Black Temple and we managed to kill Mother Shahraz before Coolidge had to leave. Although before we even got to that stage we, or should I say I had a few interruptions along the way. Firstly, on pulling the second boss, I experienced a blackout. Luckily I was able to flick the main switch to get power back after a few minutes. Just after that problem was sorted though, I noticed a gas leak near the power box. So I turned it off while I waited for the gas man to come. Turns out it was a regulator issue. Talk about a busy morning.
Kamalia, Cool, Cym, JD and Faenix
So this is where we were just after killing Mother Shahraz. A pretty groovy bunch of people if you ask me.
Here are a few highlights from the rest of the raid:
We managed to give Illidan a go before one of the elementals melted Kam’s face and then proceeded to do the same to me. The second attempt didn’t go so well with us all experiencing lag issues so we called it there.
So thx JD for an… interesting raid :P
…and Grats to everyone who managed to get some transmog gear.
