It isn’t officially my birthday for a couple of weeks but that didn’t stop Coolidge from sending me a package half a month early. Since my gift arrived just short of his birthday, he ended up opening it slightly early but thirteen days is a long time to wait.
I suspected I knew what one of the items would be since Cool knows how much I love the Daenerys Targaryen Funko Pop. There was even a giveaway which had one as part of a set of three Game of Thrones figurines but sadly I didn’t win. As it happened, one of my followers on Twitter happened to RT my entry and won.
When I went to pick up the package, it was a lot bigger than I expected. Apart from the Daenerys Funko Pop, I wondered if there were more Game of Thrones Funkos inside. Cool surprised me when he said there were SEVEN items!
Now I’d seen several versions of Daenerys Pop Vinyls including several different coloured dragons on her arm and one in her wedding dress so I couldn’t help but wonder which one he’d be sending. The unusual thing about the Wonder Woman Pop Hero was seeing more silver where she usually sports iconic gold. Apparently there’s a monochrome version which is one of two limited editions but seeing WW who is completely silver just looks odd to me. The last was the original Superman suit with his trademark curl (making a pair with my other Man of Steel Funko received last year).
The folded t-shirt threw me off when it looked like a minecraft shirt – at least until I saw the label. Ooh, Firefly! The last three items included a Firefly keyring, Domo keyring and bendable Superman.
I couldn’t help staging her with some of the dragons I’ve collected over the years.
Now the question is to keep them in their boxes or not? I think I’ll leave them out for now :)
As I flew over Undercity on my way to Scholo, I noticed just how impressive the ruins actually are. It’s been almost a decade since my first visit to the old capital but if I remember correctly, the exterior was only updated in Cataclysm.
That’s when I noticed some of the more interesting historical aspects of the place. It’s really quite impressive when you take the time to look around but as I went to explore one of the towers, I noticed something odd about my leg.
Blizz, what’s with the double-jointed twitch? I always noticed one leg hovering lower than the other but I guess I never looked this closely before. I’ll just put it towards another thing to fix during the model update. Here’s hoping the female Blood Elf will be just as good (if not better) than the new Draenei model and I just love the racially themed underwear. I foresee gemstones in my bikini.
But first, here’s a new Cymre Jones outfit since I’ve never been entirely happy with her sets before – at least ones I can actually wear. I guess this is what she might be wearing if she still had that chestpiece as an all cloth set.
and then I’ve always loved this leather chestpiece.
Hmm, doesn’t quite mesh. Times like this I wish we had more stylish shoes like the ones found below in WMV.
In the meantime, here’s a compromise. Funnily enough, I couldn’t find the pant model in v0.7.0.5 and the more recent version had issues displaying any of my models but thanks to Photoshop, it’s looking better and better.
When I first played through the beta, I was never able to loot the Ancient Pandaren Tea Pot due to the high level of phasing so when the achievement came out, I knew I would be one item shy from completing the Riches of Pandaria. Thankfully, this was no longer an issue after the addition of patch 5.1.
Here’s the series you’ll need to compete:
As usual, each artifact may only be looted once per character – although only 18 are needed for credit. You will come across a number of these objects as you level through the zones but if you’re unsure of the status at this stage of the expansion, the following macro can help you determine if a certain object has already been looted:
where ‘XXXXX’ refers to the flag quest number of each item you’re checking. If the result comes back as 1, it means you’ve already looted that object on that given character as opposed to a ‘nil’ result, meaning you’re still eligible to see and loot the item.
The remaining list of objects do not seem to count towards any of the achievements but are still a great source of XP and gold. It’s no wonder these were one of my favourite ways to level myself to 90.
