After my trip into Ulduar this week and picking up the gloves from my Sanctification Regalia set, I decided to go through my bank and void storage just to see how close I was to completing any of the Ulduar sets. Turns out I’m only missing the shoulders from my yellow set on 25 while I’ve actually completed the recoloured version of my mauve coloured Sanctification Garb. This made me look at how many sets I’d like to work on including the Kirin Tor recoloured version especially when the shoulders remind me slightly of the shaman shoulders from SoO.
In other news, I’ve been pretty busy over the last few days, levelling up my engineering while my pali provided most of the ore I needed. Yesterday I even made some notes (in case I ever decide to level a fourth engineer) and told myself I would only use my easy 5pts from the Darkmoon Faire when I was stuck on a certain material.
Working on new profession has given me a pretty well needed reprieve from all my time on a certain Isle. Unfortunately, there’s nothing new to report on that front but in the meantime, there are still some toys I’d love to finally make for my priest.
I also thought these mecha-spiders from Ulduar would make a cool engineering mount. Well, 20pts to go and I’ll be ready to make my goggles and other toys.
Over the last few days, I’ve been able to knock two more dungeon achievements off the list. First we headed into the Siege of Niuzao Temple so I could complete Run with the Wind which was quite fun to complete. Then today we tried The Obvious Solution in Shado-Pan Monastery before I remembered a post from Warcraft Less Traveled about the Shrine of the Unseen Force.
I admit it was quite tricky getting to the island with the shrine, especially for a non-engineer. I thought I would be ok using levitate but after finding an invisible wall on top of the tiger statue outside the Sha of Hatred’s room, I decided to try a different location but it wasn’t much better. Having so much trouble getting to the shrine while Cool casually glided over to the island made me want to switch to engineering right that minute.
On the Timeless Isle, I often take a running mounted jump off from the top of Ordon’s Sanctuary towards the Blazing Path, sadly it didn’t quite work on top of the tiger’s head or on top of one of the close pillars. I ended up floating down to the rock just under the level I needed to reach the shrine. After a few more attempts, I levitated down before Cool rescued me from the rock with his two-seater mount.
Apart from the shrine, we found two stealthing assassins which only had this line to say.
Clicking on the Shrine of Unseen Force will give you a buff which increases your chance to hit by 90%. This is particularly handy for the Hate Leads to Suffering achievement where you have to defeat Taran Zhu after every party member has accumulated full hatred via Haze of Hate. Cool and I completed the achievement over a year ago with our tank and heals combo but for fresh 90s this may be a desirable buff to have.
About 10 minutes before server maintenance, I hearthed back to Org to make it official. Goodbye enchanting… hello engineering.
Looks like I’ll be pretty busy tomorrow.
When Coolidge first told me about the maces in the Siege of Orgrimmar, I admit I was jealous – just as he predicted. I’m just not sure why they had to have strength on them. Personally I think intellect would have been a better choice but maybe that’s just me. Over the past few months I had pretty much forgotten about their existence until a couple of days ago when I was updating one of my old transmogs in MogIt.
Wishing we had bubble wands to use (especially as disc priests) is nothing new for me. I’ve mentioned it a few times over the years so when I thought about my chibi commission by Sleepingfox, how could I not include one?
I had a pretty clear idea of how Cymre should look including all the components I love about my priest and things I associate with my character. Looking at her now, I think the only thing missing is a pet.
Over the last week or so, I’ve been seeing how close I can get to Jakur’s spawn spot using Falling Flame. You may have seen my other video about one of my earlier trials but if you’d like to know how not to use Falling Flame with Levitate, let me enlighten you.
Since then, I’ve tried using it with my soulstone but by then I only had a couple of charges left. That means I might end up farming another one.
I’m really curious to know how many times I’ve killed this rare because I still haven’t managed to get his drop. I mean seriously Blizz, how many times do I need to kill this guy?
WTB better RNG!
To top it off, I’ve had no luck upgrading either of my weapons. I’ve been doing the last section of SoO and was surprised to go into a fresh run on a Saturday (even if we zoned in staring at the first boss). It was going fine until we reached Garrosh. There were a few issues with the tank positioning Garrosh all over the place and some Iron Stars wiping most of the raid. We ended up killing him with three determination just after I was punted up the wall on the second last attempt.
The things you do just to upgrade a weapon…
Here’s hoping my luck changes next week.
