The Race to 90

Today turned out to be a very eventful day which started out quite promising. After midnight, I headed out to Darkmoon Island to complete my dailies and to see if the Darkmoon Rabbit was around. Just as I completed them, I saw a comment in chat asking for more to kill you know who. When I joined the raid, I saw a few familiar names but it turns out that the Alliance raid won out this time – both sides ended up getting flagged...

Slum It in the Summit

Kun-Lai Summit is one of my favourite areas in Pandaria, partly due to the Yak Wash (which first caught my eye on the beta) as well as the wild pets – some even look good enough to eat! Mmm… Szechuan Chicken. It would be hard to miss the Sha of Anger popping up throughout the zone though given his monstrous size and yells. High atop the frigid northern peaks of the Kun-Lai Summit looms the Temple of the Tiger, an ancient...

Mighty Roamin’ Krasaranger

Another day and another zone complete with Mighty Roamin’ Krasaranger under our belt. This was one of the few quests I did in the Wilds during the beta. It’s still one of my favourites so far. There’s also an interesting story concerning Sunwalker Dezco, just check out his twin sons (the other one is on his back). The eyes on the babies are so freaky though. I wonder what their story will be in the future…...

Rally the Valley

One of the greatest things about this expansion is the amount of choice given towards different activities. It hasn’t quite been a week since release and I find myself wanting to pursue so many things. Part of the problem right now is that a lot of quest rewards are fun little items which take up quite a bit of bag room but with all the cooking items, fish, enchanting mats, fragments, etc. I find myself starting to struggle with...

Highlights of the Jade Forest

Yesterday Cool and I finished all the questlines in the Jade Forest earning us the Upjade Compete achievement. There were a lot of new things to see and old friends to visit but it was great to be able to play through the storylines finally. I must say that Blizzard really outdid themselves with the voices and music. It made us wonder how many people left the Jade Forest before they completed all their quest chains? I know a lot of...

First Impressions of Mists

It’s been a full day since the official release of Mists and I have to say, although this new continent is vibrant and the music is refreshingly different, the lag was very annoying. Other than that, I was happy to experience the otherwise seamless release that Blizzard had hoped for. The servers went live with the new content at 5pm server (local) time so it was a race to get your initial quests done – along with the rest...

Unyielding Fists – the series

For this small series of quests, we are tasked with helping Lin find Master Bruised Paw. Our only clue is heading north (unless you open your map). It’s not long before he puts us through a series of training exercises. We begin our first of three trials with Master telling us: We will start with a test: The Trial of Bamboo. Your friend Lin failed this test. Follow me, and listen carefully to my instructions. Objective: Speak...
