Rockets and Whelps
Three achievements have eluded me from Ony25 so Cool and I headed in there to see if we could get one or two of them done. Now I wasn’t expecting to get More Dots! with just the two of us but we were going to try She Deep Breaths More as well as Many Whelps! Handle It! Unfortunately, we didn’t get the Deep Breath one but we did manage to get the whelps using a strategy I suggested back when were were running our Guild. Nothing of interest dropped like the mount but it’s only one of a number of More >

Things I’ll Miss on the Beta
It’s been five months since I first logged into the Mists of Pandaria beta. My invite came at such a low time in my gaming life that I desperately needed something to take my mind off what I had just lost – the Guild I had loved for so long. I was feeling so low at the time that I needed something positive to try and take my mind off it. I also wanted to be able to share what I had experienced as the blog has given me a great creative outlet over the past ten months. It’s hard to believe that More >

Day 8 – Pet Battles
As part of Navi’s 10 Days of Pet Battles: Day 8: What is the stupidest thing(s) you have ever done in a pet battle? Just after I started pet battling on the beta and had fought quite a few in Durotar, I headed over to The Barrens to see what I could find. I engaged the first one I saw which was a bad move as my corehound was level four and I had selected a level 9 to battle. It didn’t end well… LOL! Then after heading back to Org to hand in a couple of quests, I decided to see what the ‘Find More >

Looking Back at 2012
When I first started blogging in Dec 2011, I was fascinated by the Annual Reports on a couple of WordPress Blogs. At the time, I could only imagine what mine would look like but after seeing the first report appear on a fellow bloggers site, I began to wonder if I’d actually receive one. So a few days after the new year and no email in sight, it appeared to be a little more complicated for a self-hosted site. I remember reading last year that not everyone received a report so I was really More >
Diablo
Hell mode continues
Here we are in Act II, with the tree I’m currently going with. I seem to be dying with a lot more regularity in Hell mode and not just at regular intervals either. There was one instance I died 4 or 5 times in a row!! Act II hell – Kulle As soon as I levelled to 56, I was excited to try my Diamond Shards rune. Looks impressive when I use it but I haven’t had to much of a chance to try it out in battle as I levelled just before I logged yesterday. Wizard – 56 I have one question though, what More >
Expansion
MoP Opening Cinematic Revealed
Unlock the Mysteries of Pandaria You’ve ended Deathwing’s destructive rampage and saved the dragonflights from extinction. Now you must unlock the mysteries of the lost continent and discover the dark secrets of Pandaria’s past. Explore ancient kingdoms hidden since before the Sundering, plunder vast treasures from the depths of the forgotten vaults, and rise to defend Pandaria from the shadow of a long buried evil – before it’s too late. Taken from the Blizzard website Wow, what an awesome More >

Sunreaver Onslaught
A couple of days ago, I was a few hundred short from becoming exalted with the Sunreaver Onslaught so I logged onto my mage to farm a key for the Troves of the Thunder King scenario. It was pretty easy just doing dailies and a few heroic dungeon/scenario runs (especially when you add the reputation perk/commendation at revered). The rest came from a handful of solo scenarios (free loot!) but I especially loved seeing the Blood Elves having more of an active involvement in this expansion, in More >
Fun
DIY Robot
Have you noticed the new fluff items from your daily Blingtron Package lately? A Steamy Romance Novel may be old news to some but the Blingtron Heart Key is certainly new. Then that got me thinking… along the lines of finding all sorts of treasures around Pandaria, what if we could find random body parts, kind of like piecing the Crumbled Chamberlain together and make our own robots but each piece had a random chance to be a different colour or design – like one could be a bionic arm or some More >

Slow and Steady
This is the third time I’ve entered a Tyrael’s Hilt giveaway but I had never come this close to winning before. The last one was run by WoWHead so you can imagine the number of people in the running for that one. However, I still came out with a small runner up prize which was unexpected. So for Navi’s Moving House Giveaway, I couldn’t believe such an awesome prize was up for grabs again, especially since it’s been on my Ultimate Wish List for so long. I spent a good number of hours looking for More >
Guild
It All Really Adds Up
It’s not that often that I get to post about Guild accomplishments so I’m happy to say that we finally reached another general milestone. I noticed that we were somewhat close (at least compared to some other achievements) when we started levelling in Pandaria so I was checking the achievement every now and then to see how we were going. The other night I was working on my Archaeology and was trading in my restored artifacts late one night when I accidentally hit my dagger icon instead of More >
Hunter
The Art of Dinomancy
After seeing a few hunters with Direhorns over the last couple of days, I was quite excited about adding one to my stable. The question was where to get one? First you must head to the Isle of Bones, just above Kun-Lai Summit. You’ll have to fly over eel-infested waters, err… a short distance of fatigued water to find yourself on the shore of the Isle. If you head straight for the middle of the landmass, you’ll find two flights (one for each faction) giving you an easy way back if you need More >

IntPiPoMo – Pandaria
When I first logged into the beta I was immersed in all the rich landscapes taking pics in every direction. These are just some of my favourite shots from the beta. This post is part of IntPiPoMo – posting 50 screenshots in 30 days. #IntPiPoMo 50/50 Thx Angelya, it was a lot of fun <3 Share this:TwitterFacebook

But Wait There’s More
This week we had Arv and Luxy joining us in Ulduar so not only was it a lot quicker but we managed to get to Yogg without much effort. Along the way we completed a couple of achievements that Cool and I had been missing so that was exciting and was just 1sec off from getting the speed kill with Arv tanking and me healing. Cool was a bit worried about doing this achievement but I was just hoping he would grab me first. Unfortunately, he grabbed both Cool and Lux leaving me to DPS as Disc. I More >

Ren Yun the Blind
Over the last few months, I’ve discovered several references to Ren Yun including his walking cane – one of the common items in Pandaren Archaeology. Finding a pristine version will allow you to display it in the Seat of Knowledge. A long cane tipped with a head of carved whalebone, once used by the enigmatic Brewfather, Ren Yun. Blind since birth, Ren Yun’s other senses were heightened. As a result, he found the brews of his time to be harsh or bitter. Years of experimentation allowed him to More >

Bearly There
While doing my Darkspear Revolutionary chain earlier, Navi tried to invite to group so I asked her “what’s up?” At first I thought she wanted to see me as a tauren again since I changed my race back yesterday but when she was invited to group, she was phased. However, a couple of minutes later I finished my quest and could see her so she cheered and opened trade with me. The item she placed in the trade window was accompanied by: “I am not a jc or and engineer but I wanted to help!” Surely this More >

Remember Theramore
Over the weekend I wanted to go and see Theramore for the last time as it was probably going to be the last time that I saw the place – the way it is now. It brought back memories of when I levelled my Priest through the zone. I was antsy to get there as I needed to go to the profession guy there. I think it was the tailor, or maybe enchanting. So I flew Cool over there pausing just outside the walls to take a few pics while I wondered where Jaina might be. Theramore was just as I remember, More >

Ra’sha <Tender of Sacrifices>
One of eleven rares on the Isle of Thunder, he is not required for the Champions of Lei Shen, although he still drops a rather unique item - Ra’sha’s Sacrificial Dagger. Getting to him may be a little tricky for some since his cave is guarded by two elites. It appears that you will need to be the first to tag him though in order to have looting rights so group up (if needed) for a chance at his loot table. You may be lucky if trying this solo, since no one was around when we tried it and we More >
Patch
Notes Post Patch 5.2
So many things to do and no clones to do them. Oh well, I think I still did ok. First off, we headed out to the Isle of Thunder, meeting up with Lor’themar and completing our dailies. We managed to kill one of the rares as well as summon up something. I was a little surprised to find both of the two new JC recipes from quest mobs though. I also managed to locate and capture all four wild pets on the Isle, even though two had phasing issues but you’ll find the ‘Interact with target’ works a More >
Pet Battle System
Day 10 – Pet Battles
As part of Navi’s 10 Days of Pet Battles: Design a pet! What model would your pet have, where would it come from and what abilities would it have? I loved the idea of a Manticron Cube ever since it was suggested for a previous shared topic so I thought I would have a go at using it for my design. Laser – Blasts the enemy with a laser of arcane power, dealing 310 Magic damage. Gravity – 1 Turn Cooldown 95% Hit Chance. Slams the target into the ground, dealing 150 Magic damage. If used again More >

Blossoming Ancient
The Blossoming Ancient is now available in the Blizzard Store. Cool surprised me with one yesterday after buying one for himself as well. Even the mightiest of ancients was once a single, tiny seed. In time, this sapling will grow into one of the Cenarion Circle’s greatest protectors. Until then, it will serve as your faithful companion. Malfurion Stormrage I love how he has the ability to change with the seasons and have almost levelled him to 25. You can’t help but think of Tome when you see More >
Places of Interest
The Veiled Stair
For a small zone, it’s quite impressive to see so many points of interest for anyone passing through the area. In fact, it’s the breadcrumb quest which leads you from the Valley of Four Winds and into Kun-Lai Summit, particularly if you’re 87. Apart from a couple of local quests, you’ll find the current location of Wrathion in this expansion as well as the Terrace of Endless Spring raid. For a couple of XP boosts, don’t forget to loot the Forgotten Lockbox on the second floor of the Tavern in More >

Brawler’s Rank 5 complete!
A couple of days ago, I had given an attempt or two at Fjoll before calling it a day. Yesterday, I decided to give him another go and one-shot the sucker. Fjoll – With most of the void zones on one half of the pit or along the edges, I had quite a bit of room to manoeuvre – even with his Shadowy Blast knockbacks and Death Grips. At one stage, all I could see was the wood of the barrier and his health bar so I decided not to move until I saw a Void warning. Proboskus – It’s imperative that you More >

Learning from the Best
Ever since Nat sent me on the quest for Nat Pagle, Angler Extreme all those years ago, I never expected to be where I am now. Back then, I wasn’t even high enough to quest in Feralas so had no idea where the Verdantis River was but a friendly Alliance player noticed my level and asked if I needed help after killing something I had aggroed. Luckily for me, they were nice enough to lead me to the river before wishing me luck and riding off. For my trouble, Nat rewarded me with his Lucky Fishing More >
Quests
Blood and Thunder
A while ago, Lor’themar asked us to go into the Throne of Thunder to retrieve the Remnants of the Dark Animus for a quest. This afternoon, we ventured into the Halls of Flesh-Shaping and came out victorious. Following our success, Lorthemar rewarded us with the Glorious Standard of the Sunreaver Onslaught. It’s a shame it can’t teleport you back to the camp though like the Sunreaver Beacon. The quest also gave us a 30min buff called the Blessing of the Animus (from the Animus Golem) so I More >
Raids
Oondasta
As soon as I logged in yesterday, Veluxia sent me a tell informing me that Oondasta (the new World Boss) was up and she was in a raid to kill it so I quickly logged onto my Alliance toon. Getting out to the Isle was going to take a bit of effort as I hadn’t made the trip there yet. Even before I had started flying, they had pulled the boss so it was a race to get out there in time. With only the skill for basic flying, I took the only option as a summon was now out of the question – a taxi. More >

If Only…
Have you ever had one of those days when it looked like things were going great? Late last night I managed to see the last Zandalari Journal I needed for my Zandalari Library Card achievement but at the time, my bag was full so I closed the loot window to sell something though my portable vendor. However, when I went to loot the body again, it wasn’t there. The body despawned a few seconds after I killed it. For future note, this was a Zandalari Beastlord in the Beast Pens, you know the ones More >

Primordial Direhorns
By now you’ve probably seen the Zandalari Warbringers around the place, maybe even a lone Pterodactyl and the not so stealthy Warscouts traversing the zone. Although I always thought it was kind of amusing how you could see the scouts a fair distance away – as I spotted one while doing a fabled pet battle that first day. Warbringers There are only three Warbringers which can spawn in five locations around Pandaria. Each one is defined by the colour of mount he rides which has a small chance to More >

Red
I’ve featured Red Riding Hood a few times now, starting with a post I did as part of Saz’s Through your Interface challenge. It turned out to be one of my favourites from the set but decided to postdate it so it would be published last. Ah the wait! Not surprisingly, I’ve created some other Fairy Tale characters since then to keep her company. Later that year, I had an opportunity to reinvent her costume as part of Matty‘s Hallow’s End challenge based on the movie release but when I saw the More >
Treasures
Troves of the Thunder King
It’s no surprise that I love my weekly visits to the Troves of the Thunder King scenario. I get more excited when I see multiple keys on Cymre so I can get more chances at collecting more Elder Charms for my attempts. I’ve managed to reach the last room on several trips (depending on what my agenda is for that day) and have seen the treasure saurok multiple times as well. The only thing that I can’t pre-plan is the number of Golden Treasure chests in the scenario. It seems that the days I More >
