Patch Day

Due to extreme lag yesterday, I was forced to lower some of my settings (again) just to be able to move. I’m now playing on graphics level 3 as opposed to my usual 4. This makes me extremely sad as a person who thrives on high-quality graphics but it’s what I need to do right now.

There wasn’t much happening on the Broken Shore apart from the initial scenario and contributing my first 100 resources towards the Mage Tower. I was anxious to make another team for Sissix the Illidari Pet Master and head into the Pet Battle Dungeon but kept getting disconnected on the laptop so recording was delayed.

The Pet Dungeon was slightly more difficult compared to my run-through on the PTR. The more notable changes were secondary pets accompanying all the elite encounters. Not sure if the Budding Everliving Spore received any tuning (apart from a random backline) but it’s possible to solo the whole team with one aquatic. Definitely easier than you’d expect from a final boss encounter. Great for any casual players with a moderate collection at least. Expect to spend at least 24 mins running the challenge.

For my first week, it was nice to leave with TWO pets from the scenario – the Son of Skum (achievement reward) and the Young Venomfang (from the Damp Pet Supplies). I’ll have to see how my luck holds as I attempt to collect the other two pets next week.

Hope you had an enjoyable first day. Have you tried the Pet Battle Dungeon yet?

  1. I know, getting the archeology moose mount didn’t bring me back but getting the Son of Skum? Had to have him, lol.

  2. I haven’t tried the pet battle dungeon yet because I’m not that into pet battles, but it looks cool and I really want to try it :)

    • It’s not that bad. You won’t need a lot of pets to defeat them either. I used 17 for the challenge but if you’re just doing the normal run you shouldn’t need more than a few.

  3. I enjoyed the pet battle dungeon. I started by following a guide but quickly turned free lance. It’s fun tho the Wailing Caverns has some … pitfalls.
