No More Stonecore

Thanks to the Vitreous Stone Drake from dropping inside Stonecore, I’m now done with all the dungeon mounts – at least until Legion. This brings me to 290 mounts (or 293 according to my paladin).

Vitreous Stone Drake

Now if Alys would just drop the Flametalon, I wouldn’t have to go back into Firelands but having to clear Dragon Soul just for a chance at the Blazing Drake isn’t much fun but if I can get that one, that’s two from Awake the Drakes. There’s also the Icebound Frostbrood Vanquisher if I can knock off those last two achievements and three from Dragon Soul. Oh, there’s also Attumen’s reins from Kara.

Still no luck on Poundfist (even with the Premade Group Finder) but then again, there hasn’t been too much to keep me logged in lately.

So, any new mounts in your collection lately?

  2. Congratulations! I haven’t been seriously farming SC so a far distance off. Out of curiosity, how did you farm it? Heroic only on multiple toons? Heroic + normal on a few toons? Or just chain run a bunch of normals?

    • Just heroic on one toon each day. According to my addon, it took 153 kills but that’s only since I’ve been soloing the place.

  3. Congratulations! There are some places where I was a little disappointed when the mount dropped and I had no reason to visit again but Stonecore was not one of them.

  4. Yahoo! Best of luck on getting the others to drop.
I didn’t think the Alys mount was part of Awake the Drakes… though Ony, Maly, and DW are.

    • Oh shit, you’re right! I guess I was dreading all those DS clears (after completing my daggers recently) so I’ve repressed it from my memory. Though it’s a lot less painful, heading into Firelands just to kill one boss each week.
