Brawler’s Rank 4 Complete
Phew, it’s been a while since I stepped into the Brawler’s ring. My shadow gear was pretty dodgy for a while so I wanted to wait until my gear was better. In fact, I was only able to upgrade my blue shoulders about a week ago so after getting several other upgrades and fixing up my reforges, gems and enchants, I headed back there.
Leona Earthwind – I was stuck on Leona for a while (which was the reason I stopped to begin with) and finding I wasn’t getting enough damage off to kill her before I had one or two groups of adds up. I ended up trying several talent swaps and strategies including dotting the adds (which don’t have too much health or rooting/mind searing the plants). I also tried Psyfiend which was quite effective until I decided to make one last change today. I swapped my Angelic Bulwark for Spectral Guise which worked like a charm on the first set of adds. From there, I knew it would be really close and it was – just watch out for her Solar Beams.
Dominika the Illusionist – I couldn’t believe how easy this was since it’s only one of a few I’ve been able to one-shot in the arena. As long as you focus fire her down, you can pretty much ignore her illusions and she’ll be dead in no time. I didn’t even have to move the whole fight. Halo was very effective at taking out the first set of illusions but found their Arcane Barrage to hit for ~10-14K so was a real non-issue.
Deeken – OMG! The second one I’ve been able to one-shot today. This mechanical will spawn moving electricity on the ground which is easy to avoid by moving between the gaps or jumping over the lines.
Millie Watt – It took a few attempts before I worked out the trick to this. As long as you can break the poly from her Megafantastic Discombobumorphanator ability ASAP, you just need to pump out enough damage before her enrage.
Fjoll: – An undead who likes pulling you into his void zones. With one attempt so far, I’ll be trying him again soon.
