Jin’ya & the Sha

Last weekend, I walked out of the Terrace of Endless Spring raid with Jin’ya, Orb of the Waterspeaker. In 5.1, they made a significant change to the staff design which could not be mistaken for anything other than a Sha-touched weapon, especially when it turns your Shadowfiend or Mindbender into one.

It’s a bit of a shame though as I did love the old look of it but I definitely feel like I’ve been seduced by the dark side using the staff as shadow.

Although even as Disc, I have a Sha-touched Shadowfiend.

Thanks to Nyxrinne for suggesting I try some Desecrated Oil.

Desecrated Oil

The Equip effect leaves a lot to be desired though – Increases your movement speed by 10% while in Dread Wastes but I have to admit that the first time I saw my Mindbender pop out of the ground, it almost felt like another Archaeology dig.

Now all I need is the Crystallized Horror to go with it.

  1. Grats! Now you need a “sha-touched” transmog to go with it! :P

  2. Now if only my pally’s Guardian of the Ancient Kings turned into a Sha when I wield Kri’tak…

  3. Grats! That staff and its shadowfiend mod are twelve kinds of brilliant. Maybe some Desecrated Oil to finish the look?

    • Kam – OMG! I didn’t even think of making a mog for it. What’s going on, that doesn’t sound like me. I think I was just itching to post something.

Tome – Hmm, will need my thinking cap on for this one.

Cy – it would be hilarious to see a Sha but still hear the grunting from your guardian :P

Nyx – That a great idea! At least until I get a proper mog together :)

      Pando – Thx :D

  5. OMG! That’s why my Mindbender doesn’t look like a Mindbender anymore! I’ve been wondering and just assumed that a patch changed the model. I was sad because I liked my little flying shadow-squid. I don’t mind the change now that I know what’s causing it. Very cool. Thanks!
