After my Jin’ya post yesterday (and some gentle nudging from Kamalia and Tome), I was intrigued by the idea of creating the most creepy looking transmog set I’ve ever done for Cymre. For that reason, I’ve given her a bit of a priestly feel using her Tier shoulders in the design and a purplish undertone for Shadow.
Head: Xaril’s Hood of Intoxicating Vapors
Shoulders: Mantle of Nefarius
Chest: Robes of the Unknown Fear
Waist: Cincture of Polarity
Hands: Imperial Silk Gloves
Feet: Sandals of the Unbidden
Staff: Jin’ya, Orb of the Waterspeaker
Granted, it’s a lot more colourful than I had anticipated but in Shadowform I expect it to look even better.
Last weekend, I walked out of the Terrace of Endless Spring raid with Jin’ya, Orb of the Waterspeaker. In 5.1, they made a significant change to the staff design which could not be mistaken for anything other than a Sha-touched weapon, especially when it turns your Shadowfiend or Mindbender into one.
It’s a bit of a shame though as I did love the old look of it but I definitely feel like I’ve been seduced by the dark side using the staff as shadow.
Although even as Disc, I have a Sha-touched Shadowfiend.
Thanks to Nyxrinne for suggesting I try some Desecrated Oil.
The Equip effect leaves a lot to be desired though – Increases your movement speed by 10% while in Dread Wastes but I have to admit that the first time I saw my Mindbender pop out of the ground, it almost felt like another Archaeology dig.
Now all I need is the Crystallized Horror to go with it.
