A Day to Give Thanks – 2012

Here we are again with the event that introduced me to blogging and the Blog Azeroth community. As such, I didn’t really know any bloggers back then but times have sure changed. When I look through the participation list from last year, there are so many names that I now recognise and call friends. Although my post pre-dates the creation of this blog, I still consider it my first real blogging post but it saddened me to know that any new readers couldn’t respond to my journal entry back then. As you can see, that’s been fixed now. :)

Pilgrim's Bounty

I’m so thankful that I migrated my journal from the Guild website to a blog as I’ve met some really wonderful people – as well as participating in a lot of community events. It’s also helped nurture my interests in all the fun things that I love in the game like transmog, pets and personal achievements.

Earlier in the year, I was going through a very low time in my gaming life and the encouraging words from Matty and Tome meant the world to me at a time when I really needed some cheering up – quite often with humour. Coolidge was also by my side every step of the way which means more than I can ever say. To this day, Navi remains as my first and most frequent commenter.

When I had my hacking incident five months ago, I couldn’t believe the amount of support I’d received from the community – some were even first time posters which was even more touching.

Thank you Kam for your continual inspiration in mogging and beloved competitor in those transmog competitions and JD for your creativity and organisational skills.

Pando for your infectious excitement when responding to my posts and Euphy for highlighting all the cool pets and rares in the game. Arv for your generous nature, especially in the things that I love with Zala’jin and Erinys for priesty stuff as well as Ay for his supportive comments.

I’d also like to take a moment to thank everyone who has visited the blog and posted a comment. It’s your encouraging comments that inspire me to write and share what I do. A special thanks again to Hasteur for his generous donation earlier in the year – I was floored when I saw the email notification.

Lastly, don’t forget to log into the game for your increased experience and reputation buff.

In the meantime, eat well and take a moment to think about what you have to be thankful for.

  1. Happy Blogiversary! There’s a little addon called “Related Articles” by Zemanta that WordPress.com uses. It creates links to other blog posts that are related to what you were writing about and puts them at the bottom of your posts. About a year ago mine started suggesting links to “Bubbles of Mischief.” It turns out that you and I share a lot of in game interests. So keep up the great work. I’ll keep reading.
