Slum It in the Summit
Kun-Lai Summit is one of my favourite areas in Pandaria, partly due to the Yak Wash (which first caught my eye on the beta) as well as the wild pets – some even look good enough to eat! Mmm… Szechuan Chicken. It would be hard to miss the Sha of Anger popping up throughout the zone though given his monstrous size and yells.
High atop the frigid northern peaks of the Kun-Lai Summit looms the Temple of the Tiger, an ancient training ground protected by an elite force of martial priests, along with the spirit of the White Tiger itself. Deeper into the mountains is the hideout of the Shado-pan: a mysterious order charged with protecting Pandaria from the dark things buried beneath its surface. When the isolated people of Kun-Lai are threatened by marauders from the west and a Zandalari troll menace invading its northern shores, they turn to the Alliance and Horde for help.
As soon as we hit 87, we made a special journey to the Summit, particularly the Temple of the White Tiger picking up all the flights on the way. We finished questing in the Wilds, then headed back to Kun-Lai to see what else it had to offer.
That’s right, a yakwash and yetis on a rampage.
Before we finished the zone, I suggested we try the new and improved Brewfest boss. Phew! I must say it was harder than I expected being fresh 89s, plus our three DPS puggers were pretty dodgy. The fight took over 3mins… /sigh.
After that, we finished our last few quests which led us into Shadow-Pan dungeon netting us our Slum It in the Summit achievement.
