A weekly event that happens from 9pm every Sunday in Krasarang Wilds. Head to Turtle Beach where you’ll find a group of celebrants shooting off fireworks, chatting by one of several bonfires and enjoy the multitude of lanterns being released into the water.
Speak to Lorewalker Shuchun who is standing in front of Liu Lung’s statue to learn more about the festival – a celebration of the first Pandaren explorer. One of The Lorewalkers cinematics also replays this history for your enjoyment. If you’re there for the opening or closing ceremony, you’ll even earn an achievement Wanderers, Dreamers, and You.
Legend has it that Liu Lang once set out to explore the seas beyong Pandaria on the back of a turtle. Every few years, he would come back, always seeking new explorers to travel with him. To this day, whenever a pandaren is daydreaming or staring off into space, we ask if they’re “waiting for the turtle.”
Most pandaren aren’t very adventurous – they like to stay close to hearth and home. But some of us are still dreamers… Tonight we gather at Turtle Beach on the southern coast to gaze out at the sea and celebrate Liu Lang’s spirit of adventure.
It’s called the Wanderer’s Festival.
Pet Battlers will be interested to know that you’ll be able to tame a pet unique to the festival – the Wanderer’s Festival Hatchling which is one of the aquatic combat pets.
