Fireworks Spectacular

Today marked the end of the Midsummer Festival for another year. The calendar stated that a fireworks display would be visible in any capital city as well as Booty Bay, every hour from 6pm till midnight. I was planning to go to Silvermoon and watch but when 11pm rolled around this is what I saw…

So I hearthed back to Org to witness what I was hoping to see in my home city. The display lasted 15mins.

Originally, I was going to ask my fellow bloggers to do the same thing and post an image from the fireworks display in their racial cities so we could see how different each one looked but it seems like the BC cities don’t apply.

Never-the-less it was a pretty nice show and I just want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy 4th July for those who celebrate. Although I don’t, it was still nice to stay for one show :)

Oh and if you /kiss or /dance with one of the revelers in the City, you’ll get a limited buff – although I can’t remember what it does :P

Did everyone achieve what they wanted this Midsummer festival?

  1. Midsummer is one of my favorite holidays, mostly because it stays useful, even though I already have the meta on my two mains. It’s just so useful for leveling alts that I’ll love it forever.

This year, I made good use of the dailies and XP quests for my alts that otherwise don’t get that much play. It was super helpful for the alt I started on a second server that doesn’t have the benefit of heirlooms and a level 25 guild, too!

  2. I just got home, I’m going to login and see if I can catch some fireworks! No, I didn’t, maybe next year the Ice Chip will be mine!
