My Week in Hell

We’ve really slowed down our playing due to our time zones and new scheduling so here’s what we got up to this week.

Last woman standing

From time to time, I’ll die to multiple trash mobs but this time I did it. I finally actually killed Coolidge! Well I have to get my rez achievement somehow :P

But then it happened… I died on Butcher. Coolidge tried four times to rez me and at around the 20% mark, he managed to complete the cast so I was at least upright when he died.

A new day also meant the opportunity for some new spell combinations. So we headed into Maghda’s Lair to try them out. I added one of the shields back for another defensive ability and it worked out pretty well.

A monk’s cannon needs lots of fire… or should I say arcane power.

Wizard – 54

Coolidge offered me a legendary bow he found so I could get my achievement :D It had some pretty nice stats on it and boy was it fast so I decided to use it in the end. I can see myself using it for a while :P

I also tried out the AH yesterday selling some dyes and old gems to test the system. Managed to sell quite a few things, some were even instant sales.

Has anyone tried out the real money AH and if so, what have been your experiences so far?

Back to the Twisted Nether

I managed to log into the Twisted Nether Blogcast today to listen to my good blogging friend Kamalia. I was excited because it’s the first one I’ve been able to make since my interview back in March. I tried to catch Tome’s one a few weeks ago but since it fell during a family luncheon for Mother’s Day, I missed it. Although I did try to sneak upstairs to log into one of my nephew’s Macs to try to listen but the minute I started streaming, I was called away. By the time I was able to try again half an hour later, the interview was over =/

Today, when I managed to log into the chat room, Hydra immediately mentioned that some people had requested that I be a guest on the show. I suspect they were new readers to my blog so they didn’t realise I had already been on :) But I was honestly surprised and humbled as there seemed to a number of requests for me. @Danslade even suggested there should be a guest book for my fans… or something along those lines. That made me laugh actually but for anyone reading who might have suggested the idea, I thank you! >.>

Here’s the info if you missed it the first time:

Also, Bubbles of Mischief is now on Facebook. Pls note that my original page is no longer valid so pls update or re-‘like’ :)

As always, you can still catch me on Twitter, through email subscriptions or feedburner.

Ok, so with that out of the way, it sounded like Kamalia had a great interview with Fim and Hydra so I’m glad she had a fun time.

I also thought I’d take the opportunity to plug the Twisted Nether Blogcast as it’s a great way to get to know your fellow bloggers in a different medium. It’s always great to put a voice to someone you’ve followed for a long time.

Lastly, take a moment to join Blog Azeroth if you haven’t already. Particularly if you’re a new to blogging as they have some great community events and Shared Topics which can help if you’re stuck for something to write about. WoW Insider recently joined in the ST too and from what I understand it will be a regular thing, so hopefully there will be more exposure all ’round. The only suggestion I have for them is to highlight the blogger who suggested the topic as I could have had some great potential traffic.

But until then, thx for reading and see you ’round the blogosphere :)

The Storm Peaks Rares

The Storm Peaks in central Northrend is a frigid mountainous region that used to be the home of the titans, with Ulduar as their city. The storm giants now inhabit the area. Players questing here will learn about the lore behind the titans, the Hyldnir, Brann Bronzebeard, and the Sons of Hodir. If you’re into costumes, a popular item is the Iron Boot Flask which can be obtained fairly easily.

  • Dirkee is a giant mechanical super-gnome located by several Titan temples.
  • Skoll – a tameable spirit beast with a unique lightning saber skin.
  • Vyragosa, a blue drake, takes an elaborate flight path around the western part of the zone. She also shares a spawn timer with the Time-Lost Proto Drake, which drops the Reins of the Time-Lost Proto-Drake. To this day I’ve seen and killed Vyragosa several times but have yet to see the Time-Lost in the wild.

The things I go through to get a good shot. This was a tough one to get. He hits hard being a squishy as I spent more time trying to keep myself alive while trying to take a couple of pics. He did get me on that attempt too =/

I finally have a shot of this one! I wrote about this recently in My Favourite rare post.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a live shot of this one but a dead shot (or two) is better than no shot, don’t you think?
