Soggy’s Gamble

On the south coast of Dread Wastes there’s another fishing village run by The Anglers. It’s a small village which appears to have a quest or two, an innkeeper and a flight master. They all seem to be crew members of the Mist Hopper which is the shipwreck at the base of their village.

Coming into the village from the main road, you’ll be greeted by the flight master as well as a great view of that massive shark. There’s also another entrance coming down from Mazu’s Outlook found on the other side of the village.

Captain "Soggy" Su-Dao

Captain “Soggy” Su-Dao is located in one of the huts, with some interesting items around him.

That elf head made me a little nervous so I was going to back out quietly while he was talking to an Alliance person but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt. He seemed to be preoccupied with some Deckhands outside.

Don’t mind those two idiots outside – they’re caught up in some fad called ‘Sharking’.

I’d wager they feel pretty dumb about that picture in a coupe of months.

No doubt a play on ‘planking’ and ‘owling’ which became popular recently.

When leaving the building, I headed over to one of the deckhands who kept looking between the shark and cameraman.

So I asked him why he looked so scared? He replied:

Do you mind? We’re trying to get a picture here.

Geez, so much for being a concerned citizen, so I head over to the cameraman…

I’m really focusing on my photography right now.

A little bit later, I overheard them saying:

Would you hurry up? My arms are getting tired!

Hey, what do you suppose your “hyperfocal distance is right now?

Just take the picture already!

Exploring the village a bit, I introduced myself to the Flight master, Innkeeper and Deck Boss.

Other points of interest included the huge seal in a small pen, and other Deckhands going about their business.

Around the corner, you’ll find something quite intriguing…

    • @Tome – Just trying out a new plugin. I’m getting a lot of spam =/ Hurray for cut and paste!

@Euphy – I think so too (about the password). I may not keep it though, just seeing if it catches more spam without me having to manually purge the spam section all the time.

@Cate – Glad you like the pics. Can’t wait for Mists to go live either :)

Really great shots! As everyone else, the excitement is building for me as well. I may break down and start reading about all the changes coming. Maybe. :)
