I had no idea how to get to the Vale of the Eternal Blossoms but was excited to explore as it was the last zone I had yet to see. After riding around looking for possible entrances on the continent map, I found they were all blocked.
When you’re 87, you can head to the top of the Temple of the White Tiger in Kun-Lai Summit and speak to Sunwalker Dezco inside the temple.
Nobody is allowed into the Vale without the approval of the August Celestials. Xuen, The White Tiger, appears ready to listen to me.
But Taran Zhu of the Shado-Pan is reluctant to let the Alliance or Horde anywhere NEAR the valley after what happened in the Jade Forest.
Maybe you can help me make my case. Speak to the White Tiger on our behalf. Be careful! He may set a number of challenges before you…
Zhi the Harmonious says: …I’ve seen them with my own eyes: Mogu legions, storming the Vale in force. We are not trained for mass combat!
Anduin Wrynn says: We’re here to lend our aid. We can help protect the Vale.
Xuen states that you’ll have to prove yourself with a series of three trials.
Taran Zhu says: Violence. See? They are filled with it.
Anduin Wrynn says: Yes… we are fighters. But we come from a violent land. We fought off demons, we fought off death, we even fought against the very end of the world!
Zhi the Harmonious says: It is true. They are strong. There is much they can teach us.
Xuen says: We can agree it is noble to fight for a righteous cause: to defend our home or family. But what of vengeance? What of anger? I sense these emotions run deep in this one.
Anduin Wrynn says: Anger is a part of us all, yes. But we value control. The orcs were once driven solely by anger – they lived in a state of bloodlust – but they conquered it.
Taran Zhu says: All you seek to conquer is each other!
Zhi the Harmonious says: To live without anger is not to live at all. It is ours to overcome. In defeating our anger, we draw great strength.
Xuen says: Well spoken, Zhi. The strangers from beyond the mists have no shortage of passions, but let us see if they indeed control them. Beyond anger lies hatred, the wellspring of all misery. What is this? Your hatred has a face!
Taren Zhu says: See? See how these outsiders hate one another! They wear their hatred to battle and carry it to their graves!
Anduin Wrynn says: No, that’s not true – there is so much more to us than this!
Zhi the Harmonious says: How interesting. They bring much to our land, but they also bring the shadow of war.
Anduin Wrynn says: Peace will come. I swear it. And old hatreds will go away. You have to believe me.
Xuen says: Well, this one has indeed proven mastery over anger. Between the young cub’s words and the actions of this hero, I think I understand. Those from beyond the mists are hardened by battle. They are scarred, yes, but they have learned much. I trust them.
Taren Zhu says: You are making a terrible mistake!
Xuen says: It is decided. I will open the gates. The Vale of Eternal Blossoms will be open for all.
Anduin Wrynn says: Thank you, Master White Tiger. You will see. I believe that my people – and the Horde are essentially good.
Xuen says: I will consult the others. Meet me at the gates.
You may see multiple copies of Varian and Garrosh for the Third Trial if multiple players attempt it. Others may even tag your copies but just be patient and you’ll get it done. After completing your trials, Dezco tells you to meet him at the Gates leading to the Vale.
After seeing the results from the last transmog tournament at Neri Approves, I thought I’d have a go at the next one since it’s going to be a monthly occurrence. So here’s what we had for June…
Trim those nails, wash your hair, and take your hard-earned gold to the most expensive boutique you can find, because this month’s theme is… Red Carpet Glamour
I thought this was a great theme, as you know I love a good excuse to get dressed to the nines. At first I was thinking of going over my past ‘Mog Me‘ designs but I thought I would try something different. After all, I have yet to make complete outfits for the rest of the ‘Armed and Dangerous‘ series.
Originally, I was going to use the Robes of the Battleguard for my showstopper design but as you can see I ended up using the Robes of the Triumvirate / Robes of Insight. I was also determined to use my beloved off-hand which is one of the items I’ve been itching to use as a stargazer costume. Unfortunately, it’s the only item I have managed to acquire.
For Cymre, places like Uldum / Silithus go hand in hand. She loves AQ and the feeling of sand between her toes which is why she’s also incorporated some of the Oracle set into her outfit.
The entries have now closed but you can head on over to vote on who you think the winning entry is. You have until 11.59am AEST on Friday, July 6!
In case you’re wondering what the prize is, not only will the entrant have their image (and link to their site, if applicable) displayed in the “Transmog Champion” section on Neri’s site, but they will also receive a World of Warcraft Pet: Lil’ XT.
Good luck to all the entrants.
Lately I’ve experienced a huge influx of blog spam (otherwise known as Blam) predominately from facebook. Most likely because I recently created my Bubbles of Mischief facebook page for some cross-promotion but it’s become a lot more apparent overnight. I woke up to find 50 spam comments all from facebook.com/profile.php?id=10000340… or similar. I usually have Akismet running as well as three other anti-spam filters.
But check out some of the comments I’ve been getting lately.
i love how people freak out when there’s a 2v1. this game isn’t sseuoppd to be fair. this game is about finding every scent of advantage and use it. if you get the chance, do it.before you know it, raid bosses start QQing for 25v1 battles
That’s right, these spambots even include some of the lingo we’re familiar with in WoW (typos and all), in what casually looks like a combination of someone else’s comment as well as some dodgy cut ‘n paste snippets.
But what about this one? No real reference to WoW but I thought it was worth adding…
Attractive component of content. I just stumbled upon your site and in accession capital to assert that I acquire actually enjoyed account your weblog posts. Any way I will be subscribing to your augment or even I success you get admission to consistently quickly.
Gone are the ones that wanted to give me their carrot cake recipes or asked me to add some images to my blog. HELLO! you obviously haven’t met me before… maybe that’s my niche, or at least part of it. It really depends on what I’m writing about at that moment, unless of course it’s a rant post when you’ve seen those sporadic verbose offerings.
So for now, I’ve reactivated the Spam Free WordPress plugin I was trialling for about a day. At least it’s not as annoying as the ones you need to decipher the alphanumeric sequences although I must be getting better at those because it doesn’t spit my comments back at me with another CAPTCHA sequence. This one uses a cut & paste job so I have faith that you can all do that at least :P
Edit: OK, well this didn’t quite work out the way I had hoped. Since a few people were having issues commenting on the blog, I’ve since deactivated the plugins in question – ReCAPTCHA (AVH F.D.A.S Component) and AVH First Defense Against Spam – WPMU DEV Version. Thanks to Navi for bringing it to my attention and Rioriel and Dragonray for helping out with the testing.
