Shadowmoon Valley Rares

Shadowmoon Valley is a fel-infused zone in south-eastern Outland. Illidan Stormrage resides there in the Black Temple, as well as Maiev Shadowsong, held captive there by the Broken. There are several elite areas that document the destruction of the Burning Legion, as well as Illidan’s methods of training demon hunters.

  • Ambassador Jerrikar – a red satyr with an epic weapon, spawns in 5 demon-related subzones.
  • Collidus the Warp-Watcher – a cool floating eyeball that can either be found patrolling the northern ledge, the southern ledge by Dragonmaw Fortress, or in the centre by The Deathforge. Incidentally, he drops a popular eye patch for all armour types.
  • Kraator – a burning infernal that spawns in 5 areas of the zone.

  1. Did you photoshop that second picture? What kind of weird trickery is this!

    • You have some leet picture editing skills there. o:

That reminds me of logging onto my mage, going into dungeons and wondering what this copy of me is doing running around without me having touched Mirror Images. It took me a couple of days to realize the equip effect of my Firelands gear was behind it. Perhaps Collidus overwhelmed a stray mage (who clearly had no idea what he was getting into) and stole all his gear. >.>

  2. I’m kinda surprised that there is only 3 rares in this zone… is that a record for the least?

    • @ – LOL, guilty. I couldn’t decide which pic I liked better so I decided to use both :P It would be kind of cool if he had a mirror image ability or something.

@Mab – All Outlands and Northrend zones have only three rares in each, with the exception of Terokkar Forest which has four.

      • Ah, ok, well learned something there! Makes the other zones seem quite crowded then.
