Angler’s Wharf

The Anglers is a new faction in Mists of Pandaria that caters to all avid fisherman. Angler’s Wharf can be found off the coast in Krasarang Wilds on an island towards the southern point of the zone. I visited the area about a week ago to see what was there but was disappointed to find that Nat Pagle was nowhere to be found… until now.

Yes folks, it’s true. Your favourite fisherman may now be located in Pandaria.

Hello fellow Angler! Have you been around these parts long? Me and my buddy “Big Hook” here travel far and wide looking for the next big catch!
We ran into this place by accident and the locals were friendly with both their supplies and booze so we decided to stick around!

Dragon Fishing Pole (Fishing +25, 525 skill)

I may be tempted to bank my beloved Jeweled fishing pole soon… The goldfish pet I posted a while ago in my Pandaren Critters image gallery is another reward I’m looking forward to owning. It’s another water creature in a bubble and I loved the design so much that I made sure I had a screenshot in every colour :P

The Fishing Raft is an interesting reward. Just read the flavour text – Great for fishing, but takes on water… so don’t stay out too long! With a 1hr CD and cost of 1,000G, don’t be surprised if I buy one just for the novelty value.

The Reins of the Water Strider will be a must have for me as it can walk on water. I first saw this after I had died in an Alliance friendly area in The Jade Forest. It was the perfect opportunity to have a closer look at something while in hostile territory.

Old Quartermaster Angler Shen

Previously, Angler Shen was The Angler’s Quartermaster, however since the addition of Nat Pagle to the zone, he has been demoted.

There are several quests associated with The Anglers. Some daily and some normal quests, but all of them will require level 89 or greater.

There’s been a lot of talk of the Avengers lately and with Superhero fever going around, Navimie thought she’d have a go at putting together a superhero costume. In fact, she made two – Captain America and Ironman.

So with a superhero meme going around, who am I to say no to such a challenge?

I actually had several options in mind for this, including a few suggestions from Coolidge. In the end I decided to go with Hawkgirl as we have a few things in common already. Green eyes, check! Red fiery hair, check! (well not usually but anyway) and Wings, check!

When I did a search for Hawkgirl, I found so many variations that in the end I took a bit from each one, translating it into what I could find in MogIt. I also wanted to stay true to my class and use all cloth pieces. If I opened it up to multiple armour classes I probably could have found some more suitable items but since Cymre is my Mog Star, I limited myself to what she could wear.

I think it’s a decent attempt for a couple of hours work. I did have another pair of boots and belt in mind but due to several circumstances I used some alternatives.
