Deepholm Rares

Deepholm is one of the four regions of the Elemental Plane. It serves as both home and prison for the earth elementals, ruled by Therazane, the Stonemother. Her faction, Therazane, is similar to The Sons of Hodir where players will need to unlock the pool of (daily) quests in order to purchase shoulder enchants. Besides Therazane and her elementals, the Earthen Ring has also made Deepholm its temporary home. Stationed in the Temple of Earth, they are attempting to mend the wound Deathwing opened.

Players start off at the Temple of Earth in the centre. They are then tasked with finding three damaged pillar fragments, in different corners of the map, culminating with unlocking Therazane’s Throne to the north.

There are no flight points in this zone but players may use the portals in the central temple to port back to Org and Stormwind.

Aeonaxx flies around the centre of Deepholm as a friendly NPC, the mate of Aeosera (from the quest Resonating Blow) and drops Reins of the Phosphorescent Stone Drake.

Golgarok is a large giant that patrols south-western Deepholm. Just stay out of range of his Earthquake.

Jadefang is a unique model tameable by a BM Hunter and drops the Tiny Scale Spider (battle pet).

Terborus is a gyreworm that spawns directly to the west of the entrance to the Crumbling Depths. He’s much larger than the other worms in the area and has a golden hue.

Xariona spawns just above Aeonaxx, flying above the floating rocks in a circle around the temple. She is one of the five Rare Elites of Cataclysm.

Didn’t know about Xariona probably because I was always looking for Aeonaxx. Some new rares to look for when I visit again.

I used to spend hours on my Rogue just waiting for Aeonaxx. Never did see a spawn, but was harassed by the same orc almost every day. I just laughed it off.

Come to think of it…my Rogue has zero luck when it comes to mounts (aside from being one of the early ones on my server to complete the Molten Front achievement).
